ITW Formex insulation materials are available in both roll and sheet forms, capable of being fabricated into various shapes of insulation components to meet diverse industry requirements. 


Model Selection Guide

Select the appropriate model based on application requirements for temperature, voltage and thickness:


GK-5BK: 0.127mm thickness, suitable for thin insulation needs, temperature rating 115°C, breakdown voltage 11,000V

GK-10: 0.25mm thickness, temperature rating >115°C, withstand voltage >22KV

GK-17: 0.43mm thickness, temperature rating >115°C, withstand voltage 24,820V

GK-30: 0.76mm thickness, temperature rating 115°C, withstand voltage 32,400V

GK-40: 1.02mm thickness, available in sheet packaging

GK-62: 1.57mm thickness, available in sheet packaging


All GK series models are available in both white and black colors.


Die-Cutting Processing Services

Formex insulation materials feature excellent cutting and bending characteristics, making them particularly suitable for die manufacturing with easy maintenance. Professional die-cutting processing can fabricate the material into various shapes and sizes of auxiliary materials, precisely embedding them into electronic product structures for isolation, protection and support. Common processing methods include:


  • Die-cutting: Including steel rule, engraved, rotary and male/female dies

  • Laser cutting or water jet cutting: Technical advantages in rapid prototyping and high-speed production

  • Heat forming: Low-cost tooling with a simple process

  • Thermoforming: Produces complex, rigid, three-dimensional shapes

  • Other conventional machining techniques

Experienced engineers can assist customers with product design and customize the shape and size of insulation components according to unique requirements. Materials can be printed with product identification, part numbers, safety messages or technical information, and can be laminated with aluminum or copper foil for EMI/RFI shielding.
